The deadline for the PhotoNOLA 2018 Review Scholarship is fast approaching! This career development opportunity is offered to Louisiana residents. Photographers with financial need who want to advance their careers through portfolio reviews with leading industry professionals are encouraged to apply. The scholarship was created to engage, develop and mentor members of the local photography community by providing access to the numerous artistic and professional growth opportunities available through the PhotoNOLA review process.
For the second annual scholarship, we’ve assembled a stellar panel of professionals to review submissions: Steven Maklansky, Interim Director, Louisiana State Museum; Paige and Joshua Mann Pailet, A Gallery for Fine Photography; Brian Piper, Curatorial Fellow, New Orleans Museum of Art; Frank Relle, Frank Relle Gallery; and Constance Lewis, Independent Curator; along with members of the New Orleans Photo Alliance Board and PhotoNOLA Committee.
The deadline has been extended to August 24, 2018 and there is no fee to apply.

And – for those who would like a little guidance on editing images and support materials before submitting their applications, we are offering a Portfolio Prep Boot Camp on Saturday, August 18. It’s a day-long editing & professional practices workshop for photographers which will be helpful in preparing for this and other opportunities.
