The photography of Louis Maistros has been featured in the Times-Picayune, the New Orleans Advocate, Gambit Weekly, as well as having appeared on several regional book and CD covers. His work is being featured in the current issue of Xavier Review on both the cover and within. Louis Maistros is also a songwriter, who’s work has been recorded by Papa Mali and other artists, and he is the author of the underground New Orleans classic novel, “The Sound of Building Coffins,” of which Peter Straub said, “Louis Maistros has written a lyrical, complex, and brave novel that takes enormous risks and pulls them all off. He is a writer to watch and keep reading, a writer to cherish.”
