The exhibition is an end, a grand finale to the first half of Steven Forster’s illustrious career, and a big introduction to the creative adventure that is the second half.
It offers an in-depth perspective of Forster’s work, spanning 45 years from the mid 70’s to now, which has become socially and culturally synonymous with the city of New Orleans and the Entertainment Industry.
BIO
Steven Forster has been a professional photographer for more than 40 years. His work is in public and private collections including the New Orleans Museum of Art, the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, and The Historic New Orleans Collection. His photographs have been featured in exhibitions at the Contemporary Arts Center, Boyd Satellite Gallery, Robert Bruno Gallery, and The World Financial Center Winter Garden in New York City, among others. Forster is a New Orleans native – born and raised in the New Orleans Lower Ninth Ward.
