Roye Guste is a Native New Orleanian, Restaurateur, Realtor, Author, and Photographer. Friends and clients have often remarked that his photography reminds them of places and events in their own lives growing up and living in New Orleans. For that reason the exhibition is entitled “Remembering New Orleans”.
Much of Guste’s work depicts an ageless mystery of things uniquely New Orleans, including people and events he holds dear in his life. Many Mardi Gras Indians have granted him the privilege of photographing them in his studio, wherein they create beautiful, striking images. 33% of all sales of Mardi Gras Indian prints goes directly to the Indians depicted.
