The Historic New Orleans Collection presents Creole World: Photographs of New Orleans and the Latin Caribbean Sphere, a new exhibition and book by renowned author and photographer Richard Sexton exploring these connections.
Over the course of 38 years, Richard Sexton traveled across Latin America—from Haiti, Colombia, Argentina, Cuba, and Ecuador back home to New Orleans—capturing the architectural and urban similarities among these culturally rich locales. The exhibition features more than fifty images and will be on view through December 7 in THNOC’s Laura Simon Nelson Galleries for Louisiana Art.
In this artist talk and closing reception Richard Sexton will give a formal visual presentation including questions and answers with the audience, followed by drinks in the courtyard and conversation in the galleries.
Copies of Creole World will be available for purchase and signing at the event.
