About this workshop:

The 2021 PhotoNOLA in-person workshop offerings are possible thanks to Bostick & Sullivan, a small business with 40 years of experience specializing in chemicals and knowledge for alternative and historic photographic processes.

This non-darkroom workshop focuses on the emulsion transfer technique using Polaroid i-Type Film. A Polaroid lift image is when the emulsion layer is removed from a sheet of instant film. The thin piece of emulsion is then, in a few steps, transferred onto a different surface. In this class we will be transferring the emulsion on to watercolor paper. Class fee includes up to 3 Polaroids per person. Paper and brushes will be provided for workshop use. The workshop does not require any prior knowledge of image transfer techniques. Click here to register.
