“Southern Isolation”
Lonely Landscapes – Gilded Redemption
Anna Hrnjak’s lonely landscapes are a representation of her travels. She makes many journey’s from here to there and back again. Along the way she is searching for objects and form that are nestled in desolation that elude to personal metaphors for the viewer.
After leaving the world of photography for five year for a mixed media that he found as a way of healing from the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, E. Paul Julien returns to his love of photography combing old techniques of transferring images on top of gold leaf. He contributes this new body of work to the devastation and shows how by losing everything you gain even more. E. Paul Julien won portfolio competitions in B&W Magazine in 2007 and 2008.
