Julie Verlinden: New Orleans Cityshapes

For PhotoNOLA 2016, La Divina Gelateria presents an exhibition of New Orleans focused works by Julie Verlinden. In the artist’s own words:
“I am showing a selection from my series ‘New Orleans – cityshapes’. This rather graphic collection of shapes, color and light, shows how the very distinct color of the light in New Orleans struck me when I first visited. Before I felt ready to study the abundance of shapes in this city, I wanted to capture simple graphic shapes and lines that caught my eye.”
