From 2010 to 2019 award-winning interdisciplinary artist and photographer, José Torres-Tama, documented the many public protests of undocumented immigrants, who contributed to epic rebirth of post-Katrina New Orleans, and on view at his ArteFuturo Studio, he will display numerous black and white photos from this series and a number of photo assemblages he also created.

On the opening night of SAT, DEC 14, 2024, interdisciplinary artist and photographer, José Torres-Tama, will offer an “Artist’s Talk” on his ten-year project of “documenting” the public protests of the many “undocumented” Latin American immigrants, who have been vital to the rebirth of New Orleans in the near 20 years since Hurricane Katrina. At 8pm, the artist will offer this talk to visitors to his ArteFuturo Studio on Saint Roch Avenue.
