As we approach the 10th anniversary of the devastating earthquake of January 12th, 2010, that decimated the Caribbean island of Haiti, Robert David Dutruch presents an exhibition of large scale portraits featuring the children of Port-au-Prince. Exhibition images are 48 inches x 32 inches and were created during the initial days following the catastrophic disaster.
BIO
Robert Dutruch is an artist and printmaker who now works primarily with 8×10 large-format view cameras and 19th century brass lenses to record his images. Dutruch’s Lost Hills Atelier, located in the rural countryside north of New Orleans, is currently focused on producing artwork via wet plate collodion, platinum/palladium, carbon printing and intaglio heliogravures utilizing a vintage Charles Brand etching press.
