About:
Flip the Switch: Illumenating the Power of Nature is a seasonal sunlit installation series of unfixed handtinted lumen processed backlit prints that imagines a world guided by the light and illumination of nature. Inspired by the relationship between science, beauty and curiosity, the natural world is framed within human ingenuity, illuminating the positive effects of the two working together. The original prints will fade over time, representing the impermanence of life and the ever-evolving innovation of the human spirit. This series asks how can we work with our innate power to generate and support a healthier planet and a peaceful world.
Bio:
Natasha Sanchez is a photographic artist, songwriter and performer interested in, inspired by, and continuously exploring the environment – particularly the environment we create for ourselves through thoughts, perspectives and images. She has been creating photographs, with or without a camera, and writing songs, with or without an arc, since the turn of the century. She lives and creates in New Orleans, Louisiana.
