Making its premiere at the Marigny Opera House, Carnival of Time is a surrealist journey with a cast of time-traveling characters who await the return of Napoleon Bonaparte. The operetta—written by celebrated writer Andrei Codrescu, music by W8ING4UFOS, and projection art by Monica Rose Kelly—transforms the Marigny Opera House into the legendary Napoleon House. The story follows a cast of time-traveling characters, including Baron Von Reizenstein and new Orleans photographer Clarence John Laughlin , who contemplate the return of Napoleon Bonaparte, whom local conspirators hoped to kidnap from exile and proclaim Emperor of America.
