Nameless Feeling
Berhane Tendai Cole
December 10, 2022 – January 8, 2023
Opening: Saturday, Dec 10, 6-9 pm
Nameless Feeling is a solo show of multimedia constructions employing photo-collage, video, sound recordings, and assemblage by New Orleans based artist Berhane Tendai Cole. This collection focuses on the concept of notions–topics, ideas, senses that are felt yet not rationalized. The artist tackles these notions about familial relationships following loss, histories of home, autonomy, and belonging using the imagery and texture of disparate media to bring these gaseous notions form.
Berhane Tendai Cole (American, b. 1991 Durham, NC) received their B.A. in Studio Art with a concentration in Photography and Sculpture from Knox College in 2013. Raised in Chicago, Cole has lived and worked in New Orleans, since 2013.
