Part walking tour + part photo instruction = a whole lot of fun! Chris Loomis, owner of American Photo Safari, invites PhotoNOLA attendees to join him on a complimentary 2 1/2 hour photo tour of New Orleans’ French Quarter. All camera types and skill levels are welcome to attend.
American Photo Safari is one of New Orleans’ most unique activities, appealing to local photo enthusiasts as well as visitors. The workshops are set in the historic French Quarter and combine casual sightseeing on foot with expert instruction by local professional photographers.
The workshop starts at Jackson Square, located in the heart of the Quarter. Participants will meet at the gate closest to the St. Louis Cathedral at 9am. The class will end at 11:30am, in time to attend the series of Saturday afternoon events: Robbie McClaran’s gallery talk, the screening of a Clarence John Laughlin documentary film, Josephine Sacabo’s gallery talk, and David Spielman’s lecture. All are free and open to the public, at various locations within the French Quarter. Please see the calendar of events for more information and links to each program.
This special PhotoNOLA workshop is open, free of charge, to the first 10 participants to sign up. Register here.
