Images from the streets of the Quarter on Mardi Gras Day. A French Quarter resident of 33 years, Rita Posselt specializes in capturing the spirit and emotion of New Orleans culture. Posselt’s work has been in numerous exhibits and publications nationwide. She has also won some awards and served as an archive photographer for the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Foundation in 2008.
