For PhotoNOLA 2018 Creason’s Fine Art Gallery features original mixed-media, photographic artwork by Atlanta photographer Thomas Dodd.
Dodd has gained world-wide recognition for his “painterly” style, which is heavily influenced by the Old Masters of painting as well as by Pictorialist photographers like Jan Saudek and William Mortensen.
Mythic themes (especially the Divine Feminine) and their Jungian relationship to emotions and psychological states continue to be Dodd’s primary subjects and motivations and his models are often otherworldly in appearance and in expression.
