The Blue Library
December 1, 2014 – January 31, 2015
Opening: Saturday, Dec 6, 6-9pm
In the 17th and 18th century, printed books dropped in price and the chapbook rose in popularity. Today there is a similar rise with the affordability of great, inexpensive color photobook printing. The Blue Library celebrates the current renaissance of cheaply printed, high quality photobooks.
For this exhibition, photographers were invited to design a chapbook using Blurb/MagCloud. Tammy Mercure and a team selected chapbooks to print and display. The books will be exhibited from December 1, 2014 – January 3, 2015 and then put in the collection at Room 220.
