From 2008-2012, backstage at the Preservation Hall Stage has harbored a pop-up portrait studio inside the 80,000+ attended Voodoo Music + Arts Experience in New Orleans’ City Park. In the ensuing years, New Orleans photographer Zack Smith has continually evolved this unconventional studio, where he captures unique portraits of a passing parade of local and national musicians, as well as friends and passersby.

The prints at this show are a ‘best of’ from his years shooting and are mounted on stained luan plywood.
