Submissions for The FENCE have been extended to June 11.
The Photoville FENCE is a year-round public photography project exhibited in major parks and downtowns across North America. Featuring over 85 photographers annually, the exhibition brings compelling visual stories into the public realm, and to a wide and diverse audience.
The FENCE is conceived and produced by Photoville, and was first exhibited in Brooklyn Bridge Park in 2012. The project has since grown and flourished year after year through strategic partnerships with civic and cultural organizations across North America. This year will mark its first appearance in New Orleans, in partnership with the New Orleans Photo Alliance.
Submissions will be reviewed by a jury of 50 industry professionals.
Submission categories are: Creatures, Food, Home, People, Nature, Play and Streets.
Deadline: June 11 at 11:59pm PST

Local jurors include Don Marshall, Executive Director of the NO Jazz & Heritage Festival & Foundation, curator Shantrelle P. Lewis, Carla Williams of Material Life, Richard McCabe, Ogden Museum’s Curator of Photography, and Benjamin Hickey of the Hilliard Museum in Lafayette, LA.
