PhotoNOLA’s Portfolio Review program offers emerging to established photographers the chance to present their work to influential members of the photographic community. Photographers convene for two days of face-to-face meetings with gallery owners, editors, publishers and museum curators from throughout the U.S. and abroad. After the reviews conclude, each reviewer is asked to note three outstanding projects. Their votes have been tallied, and we are delighted to announce the reviewers’ selections. Our PhotoNOLA 2016 Review Prize Winners are:
1st – Samantha Geballe Self-Untitled
2nd – Priya Kambli Kitchen Gods
3rd – Christa Blackwood Prix West
Samantha Geballe received the most votes, earning the PhotoNOLA Review Prize, which includes a solo exhibition at the New Orleans Photo Alliance Gallery during the twelth annual PhotoNOLA, a cash award of $1000, and a marketing consultation with Mary Virginia Swanson, and a feature on Lenscratch. 2nd Place winner, Priya Kambli, and 3rd Place winner, Christa Blackwood, are recognized with image galleries on the PhotoNOLA website.
Congratulations to all! And thank you to each of the seventy photographers who shared their work in our portfolio reviews this year, along with all the reviewers who lent their time and expertise.
