Jo Brenzo is the owner/curator of the Photographic Gallery, the hub for photographers who live in San Miguel Allende, Mexico. Exhibitions are changed eight times a year. Local and visiting photographers meet weekly each Saturday at 11 am to discuss topics of interest, view demonstrations or see the work of visiting photographers. Before opening the Gallery in 1997, Jo was the professor of photography for two decades at Bellas Artes, the national art school of Mexico where she introduced photography as a fine art to the public. Seeing deeply is impossible without feeling deeply; is Jo’s message to photographers starting out. San Miguel is widely known for its vibrant community of visual artists. Jo has managed galleries, taught photography, and exhibited her work throughout the United States, Europe and Mexico. Her formal education began through the Fine Arts department at the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee, where she majored in photography. She still provides special photography classes and leads serious traveling workshops throughout Latin America.
Jo is currently looking for emerging and established fine art photographers for gallery representation and solo exhibitions. She is interested in analog, alternative processes as well as digital photography. Review preference: personal projects and in-depth portfolios, along with work in progress.

Eddie Ralph Hebert has been active in the New Orleans’ art community for thirty years. Hebert’s educational background is in photography, painting, and sociology. After attending The New Orleans Center for Creative Arts from 1977-1980, he earned a B.A. in Fine Arts from the University of New Orleans in 1986, and continues to study the history of photography, art history, painting, and drawing.
Hebert served as director of A Gallery for Fine Photography in New Orleans from 1993 to 2020, where he curated exhibitions and sold photography in New Orleans. He has also sold at art fairs in New York, Basel, Switzerland, and Paris, France. In addition, Hebert oversaw inventory acquisition, conservation, framing to museum standards, and website maintenance. Currently, he is a dealer and consulting agent for photography and painting.

Geoffrey Koslov co-founded Foto Relevance, an AiPAD member fine art gallery located in the museum district of Houston, Texas, for contemporary photography-based art. He is interested in the creative use of media, light, and new ways of seeing our diverse world through many different genres of expression. Geoffrey is a collector himself who also enjoys writing essays, which have been included in books and artist catalogs, about photographers who are creating new and challenging work. He had served for many years on the Photography Acquisitions Subcommittee for the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (MFAH), and the Board of Directors for the Houston Center for Photography (HCP). He was formerly a member of HCP’s Exhibitions Committee and a former co-chair of its Print Auction and is currently co-chair of the Art Circle at Holocaust Museum Houston. Geoffrey has been involved across the US in reviewing the work of artists in various venues and in consultations with collectors. He has participated with Fotofest, the Center for Fine Art Photography (CFAP), The Rencontres d’Arles (France), the Colorado Photographic Arts Center (CPAC), The Medium Festival of Photography, PhotoLucida, Critical Mass, PhotoVisa (Russia), ASmith Gallery, and others. In addition to life now as a Gallerist, and a lifelong passion for creative expression, Geoffrey has more than 40 years of business experience which he brings to the arts. With this experience, he helps photographers with project development and talking and writing about their work, as well as consulting and advising artists on strategy and approaches to the art market. Foto Relevance looks for artists who uniquely incorporate photography into different media and modes of expression that expand the definition of what is considered photographic. The gallery represents a diverse group of artists and operates in the international market. Constance Lewis holds a Fine Art degree in Photography from the San Francisco Art Institute. She founded Opal Gallery, an Atlanta-based artist collective that exhibited the work of an international array of artists. She has studied photography conversation in Paris, France and her independent curatorial work includes exhibitions in Paris, San Francisco, New York, Atlanta, New Orleans, and Mississippi. She has published; Oraien Catledge: Photographs ( University Press of Mississippi, 2010) and has worked with renowned photographers on multiple book projects.
Constance’s passion is to highlight marginalized artists and she has a deep interest in promoting photography within a broader context. In addition to her work in photography, Constance holds an advanced degree in Education with an emphasis on Visual Literacy from Rice University. She currently resides in New Orleans and Houston, where she has been lecturer and educator, and where she launched Opal Art Management, offering advising and curatorial services to artists, collectors, and institutions.

Jacob Moscovitch (he/him) is a queer first-generation Israeli-American photo editor at The New York Times. He has worked on a range of editing projects for the Culture, Style and Travel desks. Previously, he was a photo editor at the Los Angeles Times where he specialized in celebrity portraiture.
Before becoming an editor, Jacob was a documentary and portrait photographer exploring themes of identity, youth, family and the LGBTQ+ community. His photography has been recognized by College Photographer of the Year and Picture of the Year International, and he was named Student Photographer of the Year by the White House News Photographers Association.
Jacob holds a Bachelor’s in Journalism from the Missouri School of Journalism and also studied at the Danish School of Media and Journalism.

Gulnara Lyabib Samoilova is an American photographer with over 40 years of experience in documentary, street, and fine art photography. She graduated from the International Center of Photography in 1994 and worked as a staff photo editor and photojournalist at the Associated Press.
Throughout her career, Gulnara has received numerous awards for her photographs, including first prize from the World Press Photo. Gulnara’s work is part of collections at the Museum of the City of New York, Houston Museum of Fine Arts, and New York Historical Society.
She is the founder of Women Street Photographers, an online and in-person global community, as well as an artist residency in New York City. Additionally, she is the author of the best-selling book ‘Women Street Photographers’ (2021, Prestel) and has an upcoming portfolio book set to be released by Peanut Press Books in 2023. With her vast experience and expertise, Gulnara has organized and curated over 30 successful exhibitions in four continents, including the first Women Street Photographers and Leica Women Foto Project Summit in New York City. This three-day event featured group and solo exhibitions, grants, panel discussions, and photo walks, and showcased the work of 75 female photographers from 33 countries. In addition to her curatorial work, Gulnara is also an inspirational speaker, guest judge (Lens Culture, Lucie Photo Book Prize, UNESCO) and portfolio reviewer ( Arles Les Rencontres de la Photographie).
Samantha Johnston

Samantha has been the Executive Director and Curator at the Colorado Photographic Arts Center since 2015. She holds a certificate in Arts Development and Program Management from the University of Denver, an MFA from Lesley University College of Art & Design, and a BFA from Alfred University. Prior to joining CPAC, she taught photography and visual arts for 12 years at high schools in Boston and Denver.
She has curated exhibitions with contemporary artists such as Jess T. Dugan, Daniel Coburn, Barbara Ciurej & Lindsay Lochman, and Zora Murff. Samantha has served as a reviewer at Houston FotoFest, Review Santa Fe, PhotoPlus New York, Medium, Month of Photography Denver (MOP), Filter, and PhotoLucida. She has juried several exhibitions including Critical Mass and The Fence.
CPAC is a not-for-profit organization that is dedicated to fostering the understanding and appreciation of photography in all forms and concepts through exhibitions, education, and community outreach. CPAC also organizes the Month of Photography Denver (MOP) a biennial festival that celebrates the photographic medium through public exhibitions, events, and programs at more than 75 museums, galleries, and other participating spaces across the Denver Metro region.

Maria L. Kelly

Maria L. Kelly is the Assistant Curator of Photography at the High Museum of Art. She served as the curatorial assistant in the photography department from 2011 to 2016, returning to the museum in 2019 after completing her master’s degree. During her time at the High, Maria has helped organize more than twenty-five photography installations. Her exhibitions include “Underexposed: Women Photographers from the Collection” (2021), “What Is Near: Reflections on Home” (2016), “Helen Levitt: In the Street” (2015), and “Leonard Freed: Black in White America” (2014). She was the venue curator for the traveling exhibitions “Deana Lawson” (2022) and “André Kertész: Postcards from Paris” (2022). Maria has also guest curated exhibitions at the Swan Coach House Gallery and Columbus State University.
Maria earned an M.A. from Columbia University and a B.A. from the University of Georgia, both in art history. She has held positions at The Sir Elton John Photography Collection and the Brooklyn Museum and internships at The Museum of Modern Art, the Guggenheim Museum, and the Georgia Museum of Art.
Missy Finger

Missy Finger, along with her husband, Burt Finger, opened their gallery specializing in photography and photo-based art in 1995. The gallery, Photographs Do Not Bend (PDNB Gallery), exhibits established and emerging artists from the 20th Century to present. A look at PDNB’s website gives an expansive view of the gallery’s interests. Missy has curated solo, group and traveling exhibitions, including Jeanine Michna-Bales, Michael Kenna, Ruth Orkin, and Patty Carroll. She has managed the gallery and communications, including client sales, press and artist relations. Missy has served as Programming Chair for the Dallas Museum of Art Friends of Photography in the 1990’s. She was appointed to the Board of the Association of International Photography Art Dealers (AIPAD) from 2012 – 2017. Currently, she is the Secretary for the Contemporary Art Dealers of Dallas. Missy received her BBA from the University of Texas, Austin.

Burt & Missy Finger founded Photographs Do Not Bend Gallery (PDNB Gallery) in 1995 in Dallas, Texas. The gallery specializes in photography and photo-based works from the 20th Century to contemporary. Mr. Finger’s current position as Gallery Director involves curatorial duties, appraisals, and corporate, museum and private sales. He has created well over 200 exhibitions including the milestone shows, “SHINE”, featuring antique shoeshine boxes, and vintage shoeshine-themed photographs; “Pictures of Me”; and “Texas Bauhaus”. He also organizes exhibitions outside the gallery for non-profit galleries. In recent years he has appeared as a photography appraiser on the acclaimed PBS program, Antiques Roadshow.

With 15+ years of experience at Phillips, Sarah Krueger has been instrumental in working with collectors to research, source and evaluate property for auction as well as executing sales strategies for high‐value lots. As Phillips’ most tenured auctioneer in New York, Sarah consistently takes the rostrum for sales across all categories and has taken nearly 20,000 lots on the rostrum. Notably, in April 2019 she hammered down the gavel at $1.8m for the acclaimed photographer Helmut Newton, and in 2017 she conducted the auctions for the prestigious private collection assembled by late financier and pioneering New York based collector Howard Stein, The Odyssey of Collecting: Photographs from Joy of Giving Something Foundation which achieved over $10m in sales.
Sarah also donates her time as a benefit auctioneer for numerous non‐profit organizations that span the United States, including Aperture, New York, the International Studio & Curatorial Program, New York (ISCP), Free Arts NYC, Houston Center for Photography, Atlanta Celebrates Photography, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, Arkansas, the Museum of Latin American Art, Los Angeles, Bottomless Closet, New York, Susan G. In 2009, the debut of her company Bond Creative Advisors marked the beginning of her remarkable journey of supporting and leading collectives of artistic minds and institutions as Chief Curator and Art Advisor. Janice’s insight has been integral in developing multidisciplinary programming and communications strategies for independent artists, municipalities, and brands. Her influence has extended to various advisory roles, including being a member of the Chicago Cultural Plan Advisory Council (2012) and the Navy Pier Arts Working Group (2016). Her signature workshops for independent artists and emerging collectors have spanned numerous cities, from the Brooklyn Museum to Malaysia.
As an interdisciplinary artist, Bond’s work draws inspiration from the multidimensional terrain of human identity, sacred geometry, sound frequencies, and indigenous fractal patterns found in various cultures and urban landscapes. In 2016, she was selected to participate in the inaugural International Photography Symposium in Daugavpils, Latvia, hosted by the Mark Rothko Art Center. Four of her original works from the series “Beyond the Binary” were added to their permanent collection. Additionally, she was chosen as one of the curators for Chicago’s Year of Public Art in 2017.
In her current role as the International Director of Civic Art and Immersive Experiences at SEISMIQUE—an immersive art museum—Janice spearheads innovation and imagination. William Boling

William Boling resides and works in Milledgeville, Georgia. Boling’s projects such as 52, Never Gone, Southern Places of Arts and Letters, and You Ain’t Wrong have been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Atlanta, New York, and internationally. He has exhibited in the New Museum in New York, the Window Gallery at the University of Auckland, New Zealand, and for Atlanta Celebrates Photography’s 11th Annual Public Art Project Gifted. Boling’s work is held in many public and private collections. Bill studied photography under Stephen Shore during the early 2000s at Bard College. In addition to his art practice, he runs an independent photobook publishing company called Fall Line Press in Milledgeville.
Steven Rifkin

Steven Rifkin developed (pun) a love for photography at age 8.
Rifkin received a BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute and an MFA from Indiana University where he studied with Reginald Heron, Henry Holmes Smith and Dru Shipman.
Rifkin pursued a career as a black and white fine art silver gelatin printer. He has perfected methodologies to properly process archival large prints, toning methods, perfect film development and flawless mounts. For 45 years Rifkin has found ways to annually increase the quality of the prints that come from his studio.

In the last few years Rifkin and his co-workers at Hank’s fulfilled a vision for Richard Learoyd when Richard asked to have 50” X 80” sheet film processed and contact printed. Richard also asked Hank’s to produce silver gelatin printing paper larger than commercially available, 78” Wide X 110” Long. This was a 2 year endeavor that yielded paper that appeared to be manufactured, not looking like a hand applied emulsion.
During the last 17 years Rifkin opened an art storage facility, HASS (Hank’s Art Storage Services). Again the depth and quality are unrivaled. Hank’s Art Storage Services are a by-product of Rifkin’s studio printing oversized prints for many artists that had no place to store their editions. Michelle Schulte

Michelle Schulte began her museum career in 1999 at the Telfair Academy, part of the Telfair Museums in Savannah, Georgia, transitioning from a classroom art teacher in the local public school system to the museum’s interim Curator of Education. She went on to serve as the Curator of Education at the Morris Museum of Art in Augusta, Georgia, where she was integral in curating contemporary art exhibitions, cultivating community partnerships, developing interdisciplinary programming, board management, and authoring interpretation. While in Augusta, she served as adjunct faculty at the Katherine Reese Pamplin College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences at Augusta University, and developed the Art Museum Studies Minor program. Since then, she has taken on independent consultant projects, taught museums studies and art management coursework, and overseen the administration of numerous college galleries and art centers. Passionate about continuing education and the advancement of the next generation of museum professionals, Schulte has held leadership positions with numerous museum and art education associations over the last twenty years, and presently serves on the Southeastern Museums Conference Executive Council and is Chair of the 2024 Local Arrangements Committee for the Baton Rouge conference. She is currently the Chief Curator and Director of Programs at the LSU Museum of Art in Louisiana.
