We are thrilled to be a part of GiveNOLA Day, a one-day online giving event spearheaded by the Greater New Orleans Foundation. Everyone who loves our region can support their favorite local causes by donating to one or more of the participating nonprofits, now through Tuesday, May 7. We hope you will consider supporting PhotoNOLA and the New Orleans Photo Alliance with a gift!
PhotoNOLA connects and inspires our community through photography. The annual festival, presented by the New Orleans Photo Alliance in partnership with museums, galleries, and alternative venues citywide, showcases the photographic arts with exhibitions and events that are largely free and open to the public.
This volunteer-run photography festival is powered by community and collaboration. Every December, PhotoNOLA engages local and national audiences around the most democratic medium of our time.
Can you help with a gift of $10 or more?
PhotoNOLA has provided opportunities and exposure for thousands of photographers since its inception in 2006. The Portfolio Review program connects photographers with curators, editors, publishers and gallery owners from throughout the U.S. and abroad. Workshops allow photographers at many levels to expand their knowledge and creativity, learning from prominent practitioners. The Exhibitions program matches local, national, and international artists with New Orleans venues, and promotes 65+ photo-based exhibits each year.
Funds raised from this campaign will directly support festival programming, helping to serve the community through educational and exhibitions programs which highlight, and celebrate, the photographic arts.
All are invited to join us at the New Orleans Photo Alliance Gallery from 10am to 10pm on Tuesday, to celebrate, mix and mingle. Donors will get a one of a kind Polaroid keepsake portrait made, in thanks for your generous support!
