A few years ago we had a running refrain in the PhotoNOLA committee about “spreading the photo love.” And it was a kind of a joke, but also it wasn’t. Because we really do love working to put on a festival each year that brings together people from all over to revel in their shared love of photography.

We love creating a space for experts and enthusiasts alike to convene; to network, to learn, and to be inspired. We love seeing photography exhibitions spread throughout the city, from the hallowed halls of museums to friendly neighborhood cafés. We love the beautiful cross-pollination of the local and the national – and even the wee bit of international – that transpires in New Orleans each December.

GiveNOLA Day PhotoNOLA Campaign

GiveNOLA Day is a 24-hour event of coordinated giving and philanthropy to support New Orleans’ non-profit organizations. All donors to this or any of the New Orleans Photo Alliance’s GiveNOLA Day fundraising campaigns are invited to swing by the NOPA Gallery (1111 St. Mary St.) between 10am – 9pm on Tuesday, May 1 for a complimentary Polaroid portrait.
