PhotoNOLA’s Portfolio Review program offers emerging to mid-career photographers the chance to present their work to influential members of the photographic community. Photographers convene for two days of face-to-face meetings with gallery owners, editors, publishers and museum curators from throughout the U.S. and abroad. After the PhotoNOLA Portfolio Review concludes, each reviewer is asked to select three outstanding projects. The votes have been tallied, and we are delighted to announce the reviewers’ selections.
2015 PhotoNOLA Review Prize winners are:
1st – Jeanine Michna-Bales
2nd – Meg Griffiths
3rd – Patty Carroll
Jeanine Michna-Bales received the most votes, earning the PhotoNOLA Review Prize which includes a solo exhibition at the New Orleans Photo Alliance gallery the following December, a $1000 cash prize, a marketing consultation with Mary Virginia Swanson. Second place honors go to Meg Griffiths, who will receive a $500 gift certificate from Santa Fe Photographic Workshops. Third place winner Patty Carroll will receive a $500 gift certificate from Frame Destination.
Congratulations to all! And thank you to each of the seventy-two photographers who shared their work in our portfolio reviews this year, and to each of the reviewers who lent their time and expertise.
