Lori Waslechuk, Frank Relle and Charles Latham were selected from among 60 photographers who participated in the inaugural PhotoNOLA portfolio review.
Lori Waslechuk’s was the 2007 PhotoNOLA Review Prize recipient, in recognition of her black and white documentary series “Grace Before Dying” about the Angola Prison hospice program. She was awarded a solo exhibition at the New Orleans Photo Alliance Gallery in December 2008, and fifty copies of her own Blurb book.
Charles Latham and Frank Relle were the 2nd and 3rd place winners, respectively. Latham was recognized for his project “[m]eat” and Relle for his “New Orleans Nightscapes.” They were were honored with a two-person exhibition in April 2008 at the New Orleans Photo Alliance Gallery.
